Legislator Abrahams Attends HipHop Summit

Youth Council "Read 2 Succeed"

Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams attended the HipHop Summit Youth Council’s pre-summer jam held at Hempstead High School last week. The event was geared to give the community’s youth an opportunity to voice their opinion and concerns during discussions regarding gun and gang violence; student and police relationships; HipHop and violence; education and employment; substance abuse; and incarceration. This event was the first in a six-part series planned by the Council for this summer.
